Planning a month of content sounds like a big job, but most of the work is in deciding — not writing. With a clear afternoon, a simple template and a few honest questions, you can map out four weeks of posts that feel considered rather than rushed.
Start with what is already happening
Look at your calendar first: launches, events, seasonal moments and quiet weeks. Content is easier to plan when it follows the real rhythm of your business.
Choose three or four pillars
Pillars are the themes you return to again and again. For most small brands, three or four is plenty:
- Behind the scenes — how you work and who you are
- Expertise — helpful ideas your audience can use
- Proof — your work, process and finished projects
- Community — conversations, questions and shared moments
Consistency is not about posting more. It is about posting in a way you can keep up.

Fill the grid, then edit
Give each week a mix of pillars and formats. Write rough headlines only — the captions can come later. Then step back and remove anything that feels like filler.
